McQueen Spring 2013

What do you think of the Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 collection? I find it extremely innovative, perfectly structured, fascinating, and odd all at the same time. The collection was inspired by bees all the way from the worker to the Queen. Each look was paired with a harness as the main accessory. It included tailored jackets, pencil skirts, mesh fabric, platform mesh boots, and a beekeeper style headpiece. I found myself most in love with the gowns at the end. The  drapery and flower details were amazing! It wasn't until I learned to sew that I could fully appreciate the complexity of a McQueen garment. While most couldn't see themselves sporting beehive inspired clothing, the collection is still worthy of recognition. I always like to describe a McQueen runway show as watching a dream unfold.
